Girls' Day Out Blogger Event

18:21

Hi Guys (or should I say girls for this one?),

I’m excited to tell you all about my experience at the Girls’ Day Out Blogger Event which I attended recently at the beautiful Metropolitan in Glasgow’s Merchant City. I’m sure you will know exactly what Girls’ Day Out is all about or may have attended yourself in recent years, but for those of you who don't know what it’s all about, let me give you a brief outline of what you can expect at this amazing event.

Girls’ Day Out will be at the SECC from 2nd - 4th December 2016. I’m sure some of the massive billboards around Glasgow will have caught your eye already. So what’s it all about? It’s pretty much an all things female, one stop shop. From fashion shows to cocktails, beauty and wellbeing, shopping and live demonstrations at over 200 exhibiters, and you can even watch a performance from the Girls’ Day Out Show Hunks. What more could you ask for? So wether you fancy a fun filled day out with friends and family, to get loads of great Christmas pressies (and some treats for yourself) or to enjoy the entertainment and cocktails, Girls’ Day Out has it covered.

Okay, so lets get back to the Blogger Event and let me tell you, what an incredible event it was. On arrival at the venue, we were greeted by some of the lovely ladies from GDO and given a glass of bubbly and our personalised press passes that gives us access to the whole weekend. Already I'm hooked. The area inside Metropolitan where the event was held looked absolutely stunning with beautifully decorated tables. When we sat down, the waiters stocked the table with bottles of bubbly on ice, yummy sweet treats in cute little cake stands, tea and coffee, sandwiches and there was a goody bag at each place setting. I was lucky enough to spend the night alongside some of the blogger girls I met at the Colour Elements Event which I attended a couple of months ago. I will link that blog post below if your interested in reading it, and the lovely Jordanne, Ashley and Robyns blogs if you fancy checking those out.

After myself and the other girls got settled and had a good catch up, Julia Girvan, the Events Manager from the GDO team talked to us about what to expect and more about the businesses involved this year. We then had talks from Fake Bake, F.A.C.E Semi-Permanent & Cosmetic Makeup Studio, Urban Decay and Urban Hair & Beauty. After the presentations were over we were able to mingle and work our way around some of the exhibiters who will be at GDO this year.  I managed to get a sneaky little massage from one of the ladies at Massage & Glow, sample Yerba Water, have a look at the latest trends in hair design from Urban Hair & Beauty (I even got my hair braided by Salon Owner, Marlene Lamont and it looked amazing!!), have a look and sample some of the latest Urban Decay products and fill up on champagne and those delightful treats provided by Metropolitan.

As if I needed anything to top off my experience, I left with a jam packed goody bag containing lots of amazing products that are all available at this years GDO event. Sweet goodies from Bumblebee Bakehouse and Coco Chocolatier, beauty goodies from Urban Decay, Fake Bake, B Skincare, Ruby Cosmetics, Glove Your Body, Benefit, Lash Unlimited, Dolce Dreams, Jamberry and Candelle & Co. All of these products look amazing and I can’t wait to try them all out.

I would like to thank Girls’ Day Out for having me and for putting on such a great event. I would also like to thank them and Jordanne for providing some great photographs for this blog post. I loved every minute and I can’t wait for the event in December. If you fancy coming along to the Girls’ Day Out weekend from 2nd-4th Dec then be sure to use my unique discount code ‘GDO10A' and you'll receive a 10% discount on the ticket price. Hopefully I’ll see you guys there.

As always, thank you for reading. Please let me know what you think. I’d love to hear from you. Also, I'm sorry about the crazy inconsistent font!!! I've spent the day trying to fix it but seems it's got a mind of its own.

Love always,
Charlene x
