Capsule Wardrobe : Autumn

11:49

Hi Guys,

It’s been way too long since I've posted last and I do apologise for that. Ive been on holiday in Italy for my birthday and I've been preoccupied with work, but I'm back to tell you all about the finalised Capsule Wardrobe I spoke about in my last post. If you've not read that, you can click here to check it out.

As you will already know from reading my last post, the Capsule Wardrobe consists of 37 items including tops, bottoms, shoes and outerwear. Accessories and handbags are not included, so you’re free to accessorise as you like. I will be honest and say that I did struggle a bit and I’m not sure if it’s going to work out ok but this is the first time and hopefully I’ll learn from my mistakes and next seasons wardrobe will be better. It’s all a case of trial and error I suppose.

Here’s what my finalised Capsule Wardrobe consists of:

3 jackets

4 warm tops/zipper

7 t-shirts

7 shirts

3 dressy tops

2 vest tops

3 pairs of jeans

1 skirt

1 dress

6 pairs of shoes

As I mentioned in my last post, I have used some tips I picked up from the Colour Elements team and have been using their app to see what colours work best for me. As my element is Air:Fire, I have added some lovely blue and pink tones and you'll notice that I've purchased a tan leather jacket instead of another black one (the black ones are in storage so you might see them pop up in another season) and a beige coloured trench coat which should hopefully brighten up my outfits. Hopefully with a combination of the darker items I already had in my wardrobe and the new pops of colour I've added, it'll help create some lovely outfits for the season ahead.

If you'd like to see how I plan on combining the items to create some cool outfits then please let me know. I can also do some posts on taking looks from day to night and how I’ll be accessorising my outfits. Also, if you have any requests for other posts or would like to see any make up tutorials, as I haven't done that in a while, then let me know in the comments section below and I’ll get back to you.

Thanks for reading. I really hope you enjoyed it. There will be more Capsule Wardrobe updates seasonally so look out for them in the future.

Love always,
Charlene xx

    1. I am a shopaholic which was why I wanted to do it. Always have a wardrobe full of clothes and nothing to wear. When I seen it I knew I wanted to give it a go! 13 bags I threw out...
